A WELL-DESERVED HONOUR: AKA JI OFOR OF HOLY FAMILY, WOJI

The Port Harcourt Grand Commandery of the Knights of St. John International celebrates Noble Brother B.C. Ugwu, Principal, School of Knights, who was honoured at his parish, Holy Family Catholic Church, Woji, with the prestigious traditional title of Aka Ji Ofor of Holy Family, Woji.

In Igbo tradition, the Ofor is a powerful symbol of truth, justice, integrity, righteousness and moral authority. To be recognised as Aka Ji Ofor is therefore to be associated with the responsibility of upholding truth, standing for justice and serving as a worthy custodian of the values that bind a community together.

This recognition is more than a title. It represents a call to greater responsibility, exemplary leadership and continued service to God and humanity.

As Principal of the School of Knights, Port Harcourt Grand Commandery, Noble Brother B.C. Ugwu continues to occupy an important position of responsibility within the Noble Order. It is our prayer that this honour will further inspire him to distinguish himself through integrity, wisdom, humility and dedicated service within the Knights of St. John International and the wider community.

Standing proudly beside him on this memorable occasion was his wife, Noble Sister Emily Ugwu, Supreme Subordinate Special Duties Officer and Past Supreme Subordinate Treasurer, also known as “Ego Igwe”, who was present to support her husband as he received the honour.

Dear Noble Brothers and Sisters, let us join in celebrating this remarkable milestone with the family.

May Almighty God grant our Principal, School of Knights, the wisdom to carry this honour with humility, the courage to stand firmly for truth and justice, and the grace to remain a shining example of Christian leadership.

May the Ofor he has been honoured to uphold always represent truth, justice and peace. May this recognition open greater doors of favour, fulfilment and service for him and his family.
