KSJI Port Harcourt Grand Leadership Visits Historic Oloibiri Oilfield

Following a deeply fulfilling and successful welfare and evangelisation visit at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ogbia, Bayelsa State, the Port Harcourt Grand Leadership rounded off the historic weekend with an inspiring educational and heritage stop-over.

The leadership team made a memorable visit to Oloibiri, the historic site associated with Nigeria’s first commercial oil well, discovered on 25th January 1956.

Standing on the ground where the nation’s petroleum journey began, the Grand Leadership took time to reflect on the history and heritage of the region, bringing together spiritual fulfilment, fraternity and an appreciation of Nigeria’s national development.

The visit provided members with an opportunity to connect the weekend’s evangelisation and welfare activities with an important part of the history of Bayelsa State and Nigeria.

It was a fitting conclusion to a weekend centred on faith, service, fellowship and meaningful engagement with the communities visited by the Port Harcourt Grand.

As the saying goes, pictures speak volumes.

These visual highlights capture memorable moments from the Grand Leadership’s heritage stop-over at the historic Oloibiri oilfield.

Faith, fraternity, service and an appreciation of our shared heritage.
