The Port Harcourt Grand Commandery made a remarkable impression at the 83rd International Supreme Convention of the Knights of St. John International in Newark, New Jersey, showcasing leadership, brotherhood, discipline and unwavering commitment to the Noble Order.
The 83rd International Supreme Convention of the Knights of St. John International (KSJI), held in Newark, New Jersey, USA, provided another remarkable opportunity for the Port Harcourt Grand Commandery to distinguish itself on the international stage.
A golden fish truly has no hiding place, and the eagles of the Port Harcourt Grand have once again soared majestically on the global stage!
At the just-concluded 2026 Supreme Convention of the Knights of St. John International in the United States of America, the Port Harcourt Grand Commandery proved beyond every reasonable doubt that it remains the beautiful bride of the Noble Order, a jurisdiction deeply rooted in valour, strict military discipline and unwavering devotion to the Holy Mother Church.
The pageantry, intellectual depth and commanding presence of our leadership at the convention were indeed a sight to behold. Standing tall and representing the Grand Commandery with absolute dignity was our visionary Grand President, Brig. Gen. P.M.C. Okeke.
In a powerful demonstration of continuity, unity and shared commitment to the growth of the Noble Order, our Grand President was joined by two distinguished leaders who have played significant roles in the history of the Port Harcourt Grand Commandery:
- Brig. Gen. George Ikioumoton, the Chartered Grand President, whose foundational vision continues to guide the Grand Commandery.
- Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Ufuoma Okene, the immediate predecessor in office, who laid a formidable groundwork upon which the present administration continues to build.
Together, these leaders echoed the core values of the Port Harcourt Grand Commandery, serving as a resonant “voice in the wilderness” and demonstrating to the entire Supreme Commandery the calibre of men who make up the Port Harcourt Grand.
Their collective presence was not merely conspicuous. It was a powerful demonstration of leadership, brotherhood, continuity and commitment to the ideals of the Knights of St. John International.
To our Grand President and his esteemed delegation, congratulations once again on a highly successful and historic convention.
